This project was designed to help preserve the Jewish heritage in Romania. Jewish life thrived in Romania before World War II, with about 800,000 Jews living in the three provinces (Wallachia, Moldova and Transylvania). These Jews came from different places and settled here at different times, which means the Jewish heritage in Romania is extremely varied. Now there are less than 8,000 Jews left, and the Jewish communities are less and less able to care for their properties, particularly in localities where there are few Jews, or no more Jews. Our project has proven that this valuable heritage can only be saved by involving the local actors (population and authorities) in its preservation and by gaining your own interest in coming to see it.

Between November 30 and December 10, 2007, IDEE developed a public information campaign designed to help the Romanian citizens understand the major importance of the relationship between Romania and the European Union. Our campaign took place in Bucharest, Sibiu and Brasov.

The aim of this project is to develop a large research from a comparative perspective, at European level, in order to measure the increase of human capital value through education, action witch can lead to an improved performance for the international market.
 The project is developped in both Bucharest and Cluj, coordonated by Mircea Maniu and Ella Kalli.
 The project provides authorities, non-governmental sector and academic environment an acurate analisys of the existent data, showing the way in witch the developing can be induced by education, starting from the manner in witch it affects the fluctuation of human capital.
